Hilda "Baker" Mary Cannella
June 2nd, 1927 - January 31st, 2017
Mary Cannella, formerly Hilda Mary Baker, passed away January 31, 2017. She was born in Montesano, Washington, on June 2, 1927. Mary married Joseph Cannella on January 9, 1951 in Alabama, where Joe served in the Army before moving to Olympia, Washington, where Mary worked for the Secretary of State as a stenographer. Mary left work to stay home to raise her daughter, Lucinda Cannella Caldaron. Mary was a devoted wife and mother. She also adored her grandchildren, Blair and Alex Baker. In addition, she was blessed with two great grandchildren, Malia and Kyler, on whom she doted from the day they were born. Through the years, Mary was into crafts, such as tole painting, sewing, making pottery, and knitting/crocheting. Also, she was a bowler and loved to read. She and husband Joe were members of the Sons of Liberty and traveled for years in their trailer with the Rolling Romans RV Club. Mary was an amazing woman till the Lord took her at age 89.
