William D. Claxton, age 57, passed away April 28, 2014 in Olympia, Washington, due to complications of diabetes and kidney disease. He was born May 11, 1956, to Kenneth and Renate Claxton in Stuttgart, Germany. He attended Timberline High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps and Army Reserves. On October 2, 1982, he married Becky Parsons in Olympia. Bill was larger than life. He loved to joke and tell stories. He worked in the food service industry for over 30 years, including years at Vips, Tyee, Capital Medical Center, and Green Hill School. He loved hunting, fishing, boating, camping and RV-ing. In his earlier years, he enjoyed arm wrestling and softball. He is survived by wife, Becky; daughter, Joanna; and brothers, Jim Claxton (Barb); Rick Claxton (Sandy); Randy Claxton, Kenneth Claxton and numerous nieces and nephews.
