Tomela Rae Snell was born Nov. 16, 1952 in Hillsboro, OR to Thomas Tipton and Ruth Foster. She passed away April 13, 2022 in Puyallup, WA. She was a 29 year resident of Puyallup. She received her BA in Early Childhood Education from Central Washington College in Ellensburg in 1993. From 1995-1999 she worked at Good Samaritan Hospital at the on site child care program. Her hobbies include quilting, flower growing and caring, reading, walking Point Defiance Park during the Spring and Summer flower seasons, exploring beaches, Mt. Rainier National Park and the Lincoln City, OR Beach Quilters Retreat. She was a loving, caring, compassionate, educated, friendly, imaginative, prudent and respectful person and will be missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Jody Lundy and Tammy Blevins and great granddaughter PersipfoneTyra Pfeifer. She is survived by her husband David Snell, sons Jeff Volkman, Jason Volkman and Brian Snell (step son), daughter Tara Snell (step daughter), brother Jeff Tipton and sister Krista McKinney as well as 7 grandchildren.
