Dorothy L. Garrett, 95, passed away May 5, 2015 in Olympia, Washington, her home of 67 years. She was born April 21, 1920 to Charles and Jane (Lott) Keil in Fairmont, Nebraska. She graduated from Fairmont High School in 1937 and attended the University of Nebraska. She married David P. Garrett on May 21, 1942 in Fairmont. Dorothy was a bookkeeper for Dick Lewis Pontiac and Olympia Supply Co., and retired from WESCU as an accountant. She was a world traveler and enjoyed bowling, bridge and bingo. She also belonged to the Moose Lodge of Lacey, Washington. Dorothy led the best life she knew how. She was always proper and precise, and had a witty sense of humor. She is survived by her daughters, Nina (Garrett) Goss and Gloria Garrett; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and her sister, Della (Keil) Rose. She was predeceased by her husband, David; daughter, Norma Lee (Garrett) Loree; two brothers; and two sisters. Memorial donation may be made to the Norma Loree Scholarship Fund at New Market Skills Center, 7299 New Market St. SW, Tumwater, WA 98501.
