Michael Angelo Moreci died 7/1/2021 at his home in Portland, Oregon, from environmental hypothermia. He was 78 years old. He was the son of Angelo Moreci and his first wife, Lily Lucille Cleall, born 9/17/1942 in San Francisco, California. He spent 20 years first in the Army, then as a Navy Seal and then ship repair on the Dixie during the Vietnam Conflict. Once discharged he worked for The Oregonian and St. Vincent DePaul. He was the father of two children, Marie and Michael, and grandfather of two, Joshua and Jacob, all of Portland, Oregon . He was the brother of Mark Anthony (deceased), Amelia Angelina (Angie), and Marie Antoinette. Both parents predeceased him. His father's family originally came from Trabia, Sicily, Italy. His mother's family was English and Scottish. He had many cousins in California as his father had 9 siblings who survived to adulthood. Mike was a semi-professional bowler. He had several perfect 300 scores, accomplished a 7-10 split , won money, trophies, pins, patches and rings. He was at one time an usher for St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Portland, Oregon. His patron Saint at confirmation was St. Anthony (Antonio). Later in life he was a born-again Christian. After cremation, his remains will be placed at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon and some ashes will be scattered into the ocean, per his wishes.
