Mary Elizabeth Covell

Mary Elizabeth Covell Mary Elizabeth Covell 1909 - 2007 Mary was born the oldest of seven children to Charles and Bessie Perkin in McCleary, WA in 1909. She passed away on Sept. 13, 2007. She attended Stadium High School and later became a founding officer of the Retail Clerks local union. Mary worked as a grocery clerk for 50 years. She married Cecil Covell in 1938 and had one son, Lee. A member of the Rebecca's Lodge, Mary enjoyed gardening, baking pies and caring for her family. Preceded in death by her husband, Cecil, she is survived by her sisters, Gertrude and Margaret, brothers, Howard and Lewis, son, Lee and grandson, Jeff. Mary always had a special place in her heart for her former daughter-in-law, Susan. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the unstinting care that Mary received during her final years by the wonderful people at Orchard Park Nursing Home. At her request there will be no services.
