Ingeborg Johanna Crawford

Ingeborg Johanna Crawford, after 75 years of life, peacefully passed the morning of November 21, 2009, at the home of her daughter. Inge was born to Johanna Marie Kleylein and Joseph Burkard on September 6, 1934. Her native Seligenstadt, Germany would play a large role in her life. Her role as Omi (Granny) to eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren would further define her later in life. She will live on through the loving memory of her three daughters and their families. (Rosemarie and Dennis Schroader, Cathy and Del Robertson, Johanna and David Jylha) Inge was happiest when with family and friends at her cherished home on Herron Island. She also found delight in card and dice games, visits to her native country and baking amongst the nutcrackers in her kitchen. Inge's younger brother, Herbert Burkard, the (last surviving sibling) sister-in-laws, some cousins, nieces and nephews live on. By request, no formal service will be held.
