Selene Christine Duenas

Loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She passed away at home. Selene was a hard-working stay-at-home wife and mother, and proud to be part of the Chief Leschi School Board for many years. Selene was a proud Comanche. She loved all animals and rodeos. She enjoyed traveling, pow wows and spending time with friends and family. She had a strong spirit and infectious laugh, and will be missed dearly. Selene is survived by her husband David; daughter Tashina Judyanne; son Swayla Cougar; newborn granddaughter Dalena Sky; father Victor Plunk; brother Lance; sister Tracy and son-in-law Stanley Whiteman, Jr. She was preceded in death by her mother Diane Pospicile. Special thanks to Rose Cookie Moreno who was Selene's best friend, who showed great kindness, support and compassion in caring for Selene. Wake 6-9 pm Sunday, July 29 and Funeral Service 10 am Monday, July 30. Both services will be held at Puyallup Tribal Elders Center, 3010 East Duct Cho Rd., Tacoma, WA 98404.
