Ernest "Ernie" Edward Hazelrigg
Ernie passed away February 18, 2014 in Olympia, Washington, at the age of 66. He was born April 22, 1947 to Dallas and Gloria (Palm) Hazelrigg in Tacoma, Washington. He graduated in 1965 from Olympia High School, and married Jean Johnson on January 2, 1968 in Olympia. A 66-year resident of Olympia, Ernie retired from North Thurston School District with 31 years of service before opening his own auto repair shop, Ernie’s Auto Repair, in March 2005. He loved spending time with his family, watching Nascar races, having bonfires at the beach, going casino hopping, and bowling. He was a member of the Cloverleaf Bowling League, and a league officer for 28 years. Ernie is survived by his wife, Jean Hazelrigg of Olympia; sons, Greg Hazelrigg and Steve Hazelrigg of Olympia; daughter, Betty (Hazelrigg) Heyman of Olympia; one grandchild, Kayla Heyman of Olympia; and brother Dale Hazelrigg of Suring, Wisconsin. He was predeceased by his parents, and brother, Wayne Palm. Please leave memories of Ernie or condolences for his family in the Guestbook below.
