Pana Halkides Makris Born April 18, 1926; passed away peacefully on December 9, 2009. She graduated from Stadium High School and worked for over 40 years as an administrative assistant in the Pierce County Auditor's Office. She married Gus Makris of Seattle, 1973, who preceded her in death in 2002. Pana was a devoted member of St. Nicholas Greek Othodox Church where she sang in the choir and worked tirelessly at the annual Greek festival. She is survived by her sister Serma Charuhas, nephew Peter (Sally) Charuhas, Reagan Charuhas, niece Paula (Chris) Charuhas Macris, and several great nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at St. Nicholas, 1523 South Yakima Avenue, on Thursday, December 17, 2009, at 11:00 am. Donations may be made in her memory to St. Nicholas.
