Rick Don Jones

Rick Don Jones, 50, of Yakima, Washington, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, June 8, 2014, after a long fight with a traumatic brain injury sustained in an accident last November. He was born August 29, 1963, to Don and Shirley Jones in Yakima. He is survived by his three children, Erica Rodgers, Megan Lindberg, and Rick Jones; his grandchildren, Gabrielle and Beckett; his parents; sisters, Starla Stone and Ann Jones; and much extended family. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Jones. Rick was a church song leader and occasional preacher. He coached peewee soccer, girls’ softball and, of course, living room wrestling. He was passionate about bodybuilding, skateboarding, and the Seahawks, but frequently said that his children were his “greatest accomplishment.” He cut an imposing figure, but was a teddy bear, full of love and prone to bone-crushing hugs.
