David John Dedman

David John Dedman passed away from complications of diabetes on February 4, 2018, in Olympia, Washington, his home of 38 years. He was eight days short of his 62nd birthday. David was born February 12, 1956, to David Ruben McClelland and Dollie Jo (Austin) McClelland in Salmon, Idaho. David served in the U.S. Army from 1973 to 1987. He married Charlotte Miller on August 17, 1979, in Bainbridge, Indiana. Professionally, he was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service from 1987 to 2007. David loved hunting, fishing, camping, computer games, reading, and spending time with his grandchildren He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Miller Dedman of Olympia; son, Joshua D. Dedman, his wife Jessica, and their children, Hailey, Brynn and Roland of Olympia; son, Jared A. Dedman, and his daughter, Layla of Olympia; son, Jordan M. Dedman and partner, Sarah of Olympia; mother, Dollie Jo McClelland of San Antonio, Texas; brothers, Daryl Dedman and wife, Brenda, of Gillette, Wyoming, Daniel Dedman and wife Magi of San Antonio; and sister, Mary Dugger and husband Mike of Pocatello, Idaho. He was predeceased by his grandparents, John and Mabel Austin; father, David R. Dedman; stepfather, Lewis McClelland; and brother, Dean Dedman.
