Funeral Alternatives of Washington - Tumwater
Franklin Alvin Noble
September 9th, 1925 - March 14th, 2016
Franklin Alvin “Beannie” Noble passed away peacefully with family by his side on March 14, 2016 in Olympia, Washington. Frank was born to William and Charlotte Noble on September 9, 1925 in Yelm, Washington. How do you summarize the life of such a great man, which spanned over 90 years? Frank attended Yelm schools and left to join the Navy during WWII. He honorably discharged as Seaman 1st Class, earning the Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign Medal, The American Area Campaign Medal, and The World War II Victory Medal. He loved his country and said many times he’d do it all over again if they would take him. After the war, he returned to Yelm. Frank was a drummer and had a love for music. He joined a band and traveled with the band weekends, playing and even making an occasional appearance on the local Tacoma radio station. This love of music took him to Forks, Washington, where he met the love of his life, Jeannie Pirtle. They shared a love for music and were always up for a good dance. Frank and Jeannie married on August 31, 1956 in Port Angeles, Washington. After their marriage, they made their home in Yelm where they raised their five children. Frank worked in the logging industry and later would go to work for Simpsons Timber Company where he retired after 27 years of employment. After retirement, he spent his time gardening, taking trips to Reno with family and friends, and spending time with his family. In June 2015, Frank joined his wife Jeannie to live at Olympia Transitional Care & Rehabilitation. Frank made many new friends and adopted all who loved and cared for him. We thank the care providers who all lovingly cared for him his last nine months. Frank loved supporting all the activities and enjoyed his time spent there. Frank loved his family dearly and especially family gatherings (aka, hoe downs). He was always up for an adventure. He loved bingo, a good game of cards, pinnacle, or left, right, center (4, 5, 6) and was an original Seahawks fan. Frank was survived by daughters, Iva and husband Gordon Hampton of Yelm, Denise and husband Frank James of Poupsky, Minnesota, and Charlotte and husband Edward Wade of McKenna, Washington; sons, James and wife Cheryle Noble of Bonney Lake, Washington, and William and his wife Terrie Noble of Rainier, Washington; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Jeannie Noble; parents, William and Charlotte Noble; sisters, Bernice Berg, Beatrice King, Lola Carter, Coretta Vantwarp, and Eunice Bremer; brothers, Lyman L. Noble and Leroy Noble; and grandson, Levi Joseph Wren. Reunited with the love of his life, Jeannie, they’re with God on the big dipper watching over us all. He was a treasure that will be deeply missed by many. His love for life and contagious smile he shared will live on forever in our hearts. This is not good bye, but ‘til we meet again. Please leave memories of Frank or condolences for his family in the Guestbook below.
