William C. Reinke

William C. Reinke Husband, Father, Brother, Grandpa, Uncle, Friend William C. Reinke of Olympia, Washington passed away 29 July 2013. Bill loved people and gave great hugs, cheerful smiles and many compliments. He will be missed. He was born in September 1936 in Lewis County, Washington and graduated from Chehalis High school in the class of 1954. He attended Washington State University, earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and was a member of the AGR fraternity. While he was there, he also dated and married Jeanne M. Sanderson. They moved to Ithaca, New York, while Bill attended Cornell to work on his PhD in food science. Bill worked in the food industry until his retirement in 2000, working and living in St. Louis, San Diego and Indonesia. He volunteered and was an active member of his community. He was adventurous and loved to travel, enjoyed bowling, golf, beach volleyball, hiking, camping and collecting rocks. He especially loved sitting on a sunny beach. Preceding him in death were his parents, Charles and Marjorie Reinke; and his daughter, Karla Reinke Clark. He is survived by his loving family, wife Jeanne; Kim, Pat and Maggie; Matt; Fred and Denise; Jennifer, Nick, Jakob and Josie; Heidi, John, Emmaline and Elliot; Patty and Bill, Ben, Gus, Sophie and Hannah; Beth, Bob and Drake; Shelly and Matt; Willie, Leah and Tucker; Lucy and Bob; Leona and Earl; Joan; and many cousins and friends. A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at 10:30 a.m. with a short ceremony beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, 3 August 2013 at the Olympia Center, 222 Columbia St. NW, Olympia.
