Don Schwartz, 84, passed away September 6, 2013, in Olympia, Washington. He was born June 1, 1929 to Howard and Harriet Schwartz in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He attended college and served in the U.S. Air Force, and married Barbara Jeanne Rishel on January 12, 1952 in Spokane, Washington. Professionally, Don was a Telecommunications Engineer who worked for and retired from AT&T. When it came to engineering, he had the rare ability to think in color, not just in black and white. He loved bowling, the Seattle Seahawks and Mariners, golf, playing Cribbage, fishing, helping the community and, of course, his family, whom he loved dearly. Don is survived by his wife, Barbara; son, Greg Schwartz; daughters, Gale Harrison, Diane Stong, and Deborah Brunskill; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, (Robert) Bob Schwartz. A memorial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Huber’s Gausthaus (2312 Friendly Grove Rd SE) in Olympia.
