Pamela Kay Shipman, 53, passed away April 28, 2015 in Tacoma, WA. She was born June 14, 1961 to Calvin Dale Swilley and Nora Allene Holliday in Brawley, CA. In 1971, Pam moved with her family to Olympia, WA, where she graduated from Olympia High School in 1979. She married James L. Shipman on December 3, 1982 in Olympia, and worked for the Department of Labor and Industries. Pam was known as one of the most loving, caring, and selfless people around. She loved her flowers and always had a beautiful yard. She loved spending time with her three grandsons and attending the sporting events and activities of her nephews and nieces. She also enjoyed fishing and watching football. Pam is survived by her mother; daughter, Jamie D. (Shipman) Gerken of Olympia; brothers, Frank A. Swilley of Rochester, WA, Jimmy D. Swilley of Tumwater, WA, and Randy S. Swilley of Olympia, WA; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild. She is predeceased by her father and husband (in April 2013).
