Kim C. Spencer
In Loving Memory of Kim C. Spencer Kim Spencer passed unto the Lord after a long illness on October 27, 2014. She was born in Spokane, Washington, and the family relocated to Tacoma, Washington, where she grew up. Kim graduated from Foss High School and began her career and challenges in life. Her main occupation was as an auditor for 7-Eleven Food Stores, where she met her husband, Charles Spencer. When they married, Kim joined Charles as franchise owner of “7-Eleven Foodstore Tillicum” and ”Betterstop Foodstore” in Tillicum, Washington, for 23 years. When they retired, they moved to Yelm, Washington, where their son, Charlie Lester Leroy Spencer, attended school within the Yelm District, and recently graduated from Washington State University. In Kim’s love of life, she enjoyed nature, camping with her family and doggies, gardening and exchanging plants and flowers, and canning her berries, asparagus, many flavors of jelly and jam. She had fun living on their farm in Yelm and taking walks with her friend, Marcia. She also enjoyed spending time with her close friends, Sue Dufour and Shelly. Kim was patient and loved spending quality time teaching children respect, values, and skills that they can use in life, while having fun creating memories. Kim’s qualities and love for children are an inspiration. She dedicated her life to Jehovah at the age of 15. She looked forward to the promise of Jehovah to live in a paradise earth where there is no more sickness and death. She will be greatly missed by all she touched. Kim is survived by her husband of 26 years, Charles; son, Charlie L. L. Spencer; father, Ernest L. Snelling; stepmother, Dorothy E. Withworth; sister, Trisha L. Rice (and Rob); sister, Peggy S. Paris-Snelling; stepbrothers, Timothy, Darren, Terri, and Lance; nephew, Travis Kemp (and Sara); aunt, Kathy; great grandmother, Connie Snelling; uncles, Jim and Bob, their spouses and families; stepdaughters, Charlene Henson and Kamille Franklin; six grandchildren and one great grandchild; many other extended family members; and friends. These are few too words to sufficiently describe Kim’s great love of family and friends. Those who knew and loved her knew she was a beautiful wife, mother, daughter, “Gammy Kim” and friend. A day of work in the yard was fulfillment and, as many days closed, we jokingly said so many times, “See you out at the Farm!” Please leave memories of Kim or condolences for her family in the Guestbook below.
