Sally "Celestia" Stewart

The Lord called Sally Stewart home Sunday, June 5, 2016, after a stay at St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Washington. She was born November 11, 1930 to Carl and Ruby Slosson in Dryden, Washington. Sally married Donald Stewart on September 23, 1950 in Olympia. She worked through the 1950s for the State of Washington, Superintendent of Public Instruction. She took time off to raise a family and then returned to work in the late 60s as a meat wrapper for Storman’s Inc., until her retirement. She took much pride in her angel figurine collection, enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She was always willing and able to help others in whatever capacity needed. Her church family was very important to her; she was a pillar of her church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Stewart (June 3, 2004); parents, Carl and Ruby Slosson; and four brothers, Rowland “Rollie” Slosson, Floyd “Lodie Man” Slosson, Tom “TD” Slosson, and Howard Slosson. She is survived by four daughters, Karen Stewart of Olympia, Sharon (Dave) Harper of Hoquiam, Washington, Teresa Young of Olympia, Patricia Stewart of Olympia; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and her dearly-loved Benson.
