Alice Marie Gagnon, 92, passed away November 24, 2016 at home in Lacey, Washington. She was born April 22, 1924 to Carl John and Mabel Fern (Ralston) Backman in Newcastle, Nebraska, and attended school in Ponca, Nebraska. Alice married William N. Gagnon on July 2, 1955 in San Rafael, California. She worked as a secretary in U.S. Civil Service positions from 1942 to 1981. She is survived by sons, Raymond John Cook, Richard William Gagnon, Randall Carl Gagnon, Ronald Joseph Gagnon. She was predeceased by her husband, William; son, Robert Eugene Cook; daughter, Candice Marie Fleek; brothers, Adolph W. “Bud” Backman, Allen C. Backman, Lindy C.
