Katherine Ann Wilson
December 20th, 1935 - August 19th, 2016
Katherine Ann (Harrelson) Wilson passed away August 19, 2016 in Lacey, Washington. She was born in Miami, Florida, on December 20, 1935. She moved to Olympia in 1972, and sold radio and newspaper advertising and insurance. In 1982, she married Lt. Col. (Ret.) Robert Wilson. Ann is survived by her devoted husband of 34 years, Bob; son, Steve Wilson; daughters, Barbara Logan, Denise Avery, and Renee Marshall; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; half-sisters, Sadie, Sandra and Darleen; and half-brother Jim. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Katherine Harrelson; older sister, Francis; and two half-brothers, David and Bobby. Ann enjoyed crafting and making silk flower arrangements. She provided numerous silk flower arrangements for weddings and other events and made 52 corsages for the American Legion Auxiliary State Conference. Ann was active in the American Legion Auxiliary Posts 166 and 94, VFW Post 318, Ladies of Elks 186, and the Women’s Club of Olympia. She enjoyed motorcycle riding with Bob, and rode second up on a Gold Wing motorcycle, pulling a camping trailer. They attended many rallies and campouts across Washington, Oregon and into Canada. Ann was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be forever loved and greatly missed.
