Dorothy Bauer Dorothy lived most of her 90 years in the Kent valley. The youngest of 4 children, she was born in Alberta Canada to James and Janey Waldrop. She graduated from Kent High School in 1939 and married her high school sweetheart (Jim Bauer) in 1942. Together they owned and operated the Kent Bakery until they retired. They were founding members of the Meridian Valley Golf and Country Club and enjoyed traveling. Dorothy also enjoyed gardening, playing cards and baking. Her husband preceded her in death in November of 2000. She is survived by her two daughters; Toni Graham (Wally), Christy Coplen (Rick), and three grandchildren; Jason Coplen, Debbie Coplen, and James Lovell. Dorothy was thoughtful, loving, sometimes even stubborn and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Stroke Association or The American Diabetes Association.
