Esther Njeri Muiruri

View Video Tribute by Clicking link below: http://videos.lifetributes.com/?id=15499 Esther Njeri Muiruri was born in Gathirui-ni, Komothai location, Githunguri division, Kiambu District as a fourth child to the late Bethuel Muiruri Laban and Naomi Wambui Muiruri. She is a mother to Angela Wambui and Tina Wangui Muiruri. She is a sister to Dr. George Njoroge, the late James Kimungu, Isabel Wangui, Alice Wacheke (Kimani) Rosemary Waithira, Eunice Wambui,(Eddie) Stephen Karanja, David Mwangi and James Kimungu junior. Esther also leaves to cherish her memory her grandmother Zipporah Kanyi and numerous nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins. Esther was baptized at PCEA Gathirui-ni church as a child, and later as an adult, she attended confirmation classes and was confirmed in the same church. Esther was a member of Ushindi Community Church in Lowell, MA. Esther attended Gathirui-ni primary school and Arya Girls High school in Nairobi. In 1982, Esther was admitted to the University of Massachusetts in Lowell where she graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business administration in 1986. After working for some years she decided to pursue a career in nursing and attended River College in Nashua where she graduated as a registered nurse. She continued her nursing career until she was stricken by her illness in November, 2007. After struggling with her illness for a few months in Boston, her sisters decided to move her to the Seattle area to care for her. Esther was a very hard working lady who loved life. She lived a humble and productive life where she always involved herself in her community. She helped anyone that came to her in need. She has touched so many of us that knew her or had a chance to work with her. She was a God fearing lady who loved her family and her community. Esther will truly be missed by those she cared for in her career and her family and friends. God gave her a wonderful life. May she rest in eternal peace. Glory be to God Thank You Funeral Service to be held 6:00 PM Monday June 9, 2008 at Allen AME Church, 1223 Martin Luther King Jr Way, Tacoma, WA. Viewing to be held 1/2 hour before the service. Pastor Warren G. Freeman, Jr. will be the officiant. Interment will take place in Gathiruini, Githunguri, Kiambu District, Kenya. Arrangements by Edwards Memorial Center 253-566-1008
