Sylvia JoAnn Hanson

Sylvia JoAnn Hanson was born as Sylvia JoAnn George on July 4, 1943 to Harold and Anita George in Oakland, California she was their fourth child. She departed on December 31, 2015 in University Place, Washington, after a short battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and her oldest brother James, (Jimmy, "J") her precious pets Scotty and princess Ann. she leaves behind her Husband Charles L. Hanson of 35 years, her beloved step daughters Lori and husband Peter Skoglund, Tami and husband Larry Paquette, and daughter Heather Hanson. Four grandsons, Christopher wife Alyssa, Daniel wife Brooke, Erik wife Allison, and Andrew. Seven Great grandchildren, Aden, Ella, Nicole, Alinea, William, Greta, Lennon. Ten brothers and sisters, Shirley, Joyce, Irene, Pamela, Anita, Ross, John, Dennis, Brian and Debra. A multitude of nieces, and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews and a great great great nephew, and Her beloved dog Angel. Sylvia grew up and worked in Oakland California as a merchant teller where she met and married her husband Chuck. When she retired she moved to the northern states and then settled in Washington. She was always bubbly, full of life and for Sylvia, she knew no stranger. She would talk to anyone, anywhere. Even in her last hours she would smile when the nurses approached her. Family meant the world to her, making phone calls or traveling to be with them, Always greeting them with the biggest, sweetest smile and warmest hug. Sylvia lived her entire life for the lord, she loved people and worried and prayed daily for them. She is one you would call a pray worrier. There is no doubt Sylvia arrived in heaven on the 31st of December 2015 with the angles singing and the lord himself saying to Sylvia "well done my good and faithful child" "well done". Heaven is rejoicing!
