Pamela May Hodge (Pam) of Mountain Home, Idaho passed away with family nearby on April 26, 2024, in a Boise, Idaho care facility. She was born on October 19, 1938, in Cambridge, England. In November of 1956, she met and married the love of her life Joseph B. Hodge of Northern Ireland. They were married 67 years until the time of Joseph’s passing in 2023. As Joe was in the USAF, they enjoyed traveling and seeing new places around the world. During their life in Mountain Home, they enjoyed many a day fishing and enjoying the natural beauty of Idaho. Pamela was proud of her British heritage, becoming a proud citizen of the United States in 1977. She was an enthusiastic patriot of America, participating in the American Legion and playing an active role in planning and executing functions at the American Legion Hall in Mountain Home, Idaho. She enjoyed being part of the Collister Community Church in Boise, Idaho for several years, participating in charitable works and events, particularly in the church kitchen for social events and special dinners. Pam was kind and generous and loved to volunteer at the Senior Center as well as providing winter socks and cookies to the Boise Veteran’s Home in Boise. She welcomed all visitors to her home and enjoyed cooking and baking. Pam was close to her daughters and even more so with her beloved 7 grandchildren Aline, Jennifer, Lynnette, Greg, Nicole, Corey and Joseph and 8 great grandchildren.

Pam was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Hodge, her parents, and her beloved son from another mother, Carlos Jacome (Jane Jacome).

She is survived by her faithful daughters Jane Jacome, Lynne Skinner (Scott Potter), Deborah Dengel (Frank), 7 beloved grandchildren Aline, Jennifer, Lynnette, Greg, Nicole, Corey and Joseph, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews in the UK, Canada, Thailand and the U.S. Pam will be always missed and forever loved.

As the only funeral home in Elmore County, the staff at Rost Funeral Home work hard to be active members of the Mountain Home community and to be there to take care of families in every way possible when the need arises. Our funeral home opened in 2005 when Jerry and Janette Rost purchased the business. We’ve continued to grow along with Mountain Home. Jerry’s career began more than fifty years ago in Boise, and along the way, he acquired an 1897 horse-drawn funeral carriage, which we proudly display in our facility....
