Merrill L. "Tux" Donaldson, 80, of Englewood, Florida passed away Friday, November 29, 2013 at Tidewell Hospice Venice House. He was born on July 17, 1933 in Six Mile Run, PA; to the late Rexford L. and Edna D. (Dick) Donaldson. Tux had been a resident of Englewood for 10 years coming from Hopewell, PA. He served in the US Air Force. Mr. Donaldson retired from the Prudential Insurance Co. as a manager after 30 years of service. He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Englewood and the Masons. He was a Bass Player and enjoyed dancing and fishing. He is survived by his two daughters: Vicki Donaldson of Hollidaysburg, PA; Cindy Donaldson Heffner of Huntingdon, PA; two brothers: Ken Donaldson of Houstontown, PA; Tom Donaldson of Everett, PA; one sister: Anna Forester of Englewood; his companion Phyllis Adkins of Englewood; five grandchildren and one great grandson. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy J. Dodson on August 28, 2003. A full Masonic Service will be held in Pennsylvania at a later date.
