Wallace Worth Packard Wallace W. Packard, 79, passed away at home on December 7, 2016 from bone cancer. He was the beloved husband of Pinky and loving father of Brian (Sara) Packard of Cary, NC and Barry Packard of Conway, NH. Wally was born to Laura and Walter Packard in Quincy, MA on May 8, 1937. He was a cement finisher and part owner of Chapman Waterproofing Co. in Dorchester, MA. Wally was a car enthusiast all of his life and loved playing golf with his friends in Englewood, FL. He loved food and cooking for his family and friends. He volunteered at the Dinner Bell (a free meal every week) in Conway, NH for 6 years and was awarded the NH Treasure Award for his work there in 1995. Wally was a veteran serving in The Massachusetts National Guard for 6 years in the Transportation Division. Wally and Pinky were high school sweethearts who celebrated 57 years of marriage last August. He was a caring and loving grandfather to his six grandchildren and his four great-grandchildren and a very special uncle to his nieces and nephews. He is survived by his sisters Nancy Crowley of Uxbridge, MA and Jean Hirtle of Braintree, MA and his brother Walter of Duxbury, MA. He was predeceased in death by his youngest son Darren in November 2007. A memorial/celebration of life service well be held in January in Englewood, FL and in the Spring a memorial service will be held in Massachusetts with interment following in Effingham, NH. The Packard family sends a huge grateful thank you to his Tidewell Hospice team. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made to the Dinner Bell c/o The Conway Village Congregational Church, 132 Main St., Conway, NH 03818.
