James Sullivan
January 8th, 1931 - August 28th, 2008
James Paul Sullivan, 77, of Englewood (Sarasota County), died Thursday, August 28, 2008 at the Englewood Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on January 8, 1931 in Boston, Massachusetts to James J. and Edith M. (Stewart) Sullivan. Mr. Sullivan trained race horses for several years before relocating to Florida 39 years ago from Hanson, Mass. He and his wife Ruth owned and operated the Bargain Box in Englewood for over 25 years. Survivors include his daughter; Sheila A. Sullivan of North Port: step son Clifford Stevens of Portsmith, NH: brother; Robert Sullivan of Englewood and two grandchildren; Shawn and Jack Sullivan of Peachland, NC. He is predeceased by his wife Ruth in December 2001 and his son James in November 2000.
