Darren Jones, 49 of Englewood, died Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Englewood Community Hospital. He was born on January 31, 1960 in Kewanee, IL. Darren moved to Englewood 7 years ago after retiring from the BF Goodrich Co. after 23 years of service as a chemical operator. He was a sports enthusiast with a major interest in baseball and football. Survivors include his parents; Richard and Joyce Jones of Englewood: two brothers; Greg A. (Michelle) Jones of Bradenton and Jeremy Jones of Tallahassee. He is also survived by his sister in law; Amy Jones of North Port: 1 aunt and 3 uncles; Betty, Ralph, Eugene and James: 6 nieces and nephews; Joshua, Cheyenne, Christopher, Dillon, Juston and Jakob and 2 great nieces and 1 great nephew; Haleigh, Nolan and Jordyn. The family will receive friends at their home on Tuesday, July 7 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
