Robert Lee Gaskey
November 17th, 1934 - December 5th, 2014
Robert Lee Gaskey Jr. Master Gunnery Sgt. (Ret.) USMC, passed unto the house of the Lord at 80 years of age. MGy Sgt Gaskey at the time of retirement was the Senior Radar Technician and acting base Sargent Major at Nas Point Mugu California. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Ronnie Lea Gaskey of the home; sons, Mitchell Gaskey of Goldsboro, NC and Kelly Gaskey of Greeneville, TN; daughter, Donnie Gaskey Searles of Sault St. Marie, MI; 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; brother, David Gaskey of Kingsport. The family will receive friends for 5 pm to 7 pm on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Chaplain Matt Marshall, officiating. A military committal service will be conducted on Monday, December 15 at 2:30 pm at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Those who wish to attend the committal service are asked to meet at Carter-Trent Funeral Home at 1:30 pm to go in procession. Pallbearers will be from the United States Army Recruiting. Carter-Trent Funeral Home is serving the Gaskey family.
