DAVID WILLIAM PIEHLER, 64, of Englewood died suddenly on Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Born on April 16, 1946 in Buffalo, New York he had been a resident of Englewood for twenty-three years coming from Raleigh, North Carolina. A U.S. Army Reservist, David was an avid golfer and fisherman who loved his motorcycle and riding with his friends. He retired form United Health Care in 2009. Survivors include his loving wife of thirty-eight years; Jane Piehler of Englewood, FL; two sons; William (Jennifer) Piehler of North Port, FL; Christopher E. Piehler of Bagdad, Iraq; one grand daughter: Kayla L. Piehler of North Port, FL one sister: Barbara Muir of Naples, FL; in laws: Edward (Glenda) Hartmann, Donald (Lynn) Hartmann, Dolores (Robert) Sanford, Marcia (Howard) Dauscher, Maurine (Donald) Begeny and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 from 3 Pm until service time at 4 Pm at the Englewood United Methodist Church, 700 East Dearborn Street, with Rev. Herb Agee, officiating.
