Charles Floyd Osborne, 74, of Dungannon, went to his eternal home, Wednesday November 12, 2014 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center with his family by his side. Charles worked for the Appalachian Construction Company where he retired after many years of service. He was a tobacco farmer for several years as well. Charles was of the Baptist faith, who was loved by many family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Sammy Charles Osborne; parents, Nathan and Retha Osborne; and many aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Peggy Osborne; daughter, Pamela Dingus and husband Gary; grandchildren, Rodney Charles Dingus and Samantha Darnell and husband Justin; sister, Elizabeth Blevins; many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 5 till 7pm Friday (November 14, 2014) at First Baptist Church, Dungannon. A graveside service will be conducted at 11am Saturday at the Osborne-Bush Cemetery in Dungannon with Rev. James Mann officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Those who plan to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family in support of Mrs. Peggy. Carter-Trent/ Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Osborne family.
