Ruby Lee Rhoton

Ruby Lee Rhoton, 85, of Duffield, went to be with the Lord (Sunday May 25th, 2014) at Kingston Center Assisted Living. She was a born again Christian and a charter member of Kaylor's Chapel Central Baptist Church where she also served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Rhoton; daughter, Loudema Gilliam; grandson, Stephen Deboard; parents, Richard and Margaret Frazier and two infant brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Thelma Deboard and husband James, Duffield, VA and Shirley Meade and husband Bobby, Kingsport; son in law, Ronnie Gilliam, Duffield; five grandchildren, Brad Deboard, Lucretia Kitzmiller, Jeana Odle, Nathan Meade and Mikey Gilliam; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Pennington and Geneva Long, both of Kingsport; three brothers, Charlie Frazier, Gate City, John Henry Frazier, Kingsport and Roy (Pidge) Frazier, Kingsport; several nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of friends and loved ones. The family will receive friends from 5 till 7pm Tuesday (May 27th, 2014) at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 7 with Rev. Wayne Baker and Rev. Kenneth Neeley officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 11am Wednesday (May 28th, 2014) at Holston View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Those who plan to attend are asked to join the family by meeting at the funeral home by 10:15.
