Shirley F. Jones

Shirley F. Jones, 71, of Surgoinsville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday (March 10, 2018) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. She left behind her pain and gained her glorified body. She sang about her Savior and that heavenly home awaiting her for many years. Mrs. Jones was a simple woman that loved the Lord and loved to spread God's word by song and through her testimony. She is now singing a song even the angels can't sing. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Kathleen and Rowdy Ward; brothers, Don and Paul Ward. She left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Charles Jones; a daughter, Tonda (Mark) Clonce; sons, Jeff Jones and Brian (Genia) Jones; grandchildren, Zack and Emilee Jones along with a great grandson, Aiyden; sisters, Louise Rimer and Marie Cupp; a brother, Gerald Ward. A celebration of life service will be conducted on Thursday (March 15, 20128) at 7 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Church Hill with Preacher Darrell Thacker, Elder Neal Drinnon, and Pastor Billy Linkous, officiating.
