Ann Caroline Jasper
September 6th, 1948 - August 7th, 2018
Ann Caroline Long Jasper, Rotonda West, FL Ann "Caroline" Long Jasper, 69, passed away August 7, 2018, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. . Born in Baltimore, MD, she is the daughter of the late Charles Amos and Caroline Beall Long. Surviving her are husband Eric Jasper of the home and four children, all of Maryland: Dustin Gerberich, Lauren Gerberich Windsor; Matthew Jasper; Kerrie Jasper DeVito (Joseph); and grandchildren Sydney Windsor, Peyton Windsor, Matt Jasper, Sadie Ann Jasper Cole, Ryley DeVito, and Joey DeVito and one great grandchild. She is also survived by a sister, Priscilla Long Kanet of Clemson, SC. A noted contemporary Impressionist and colorist, Caroline was a passionate art educator, conducting art workshops across the country. She developed varied resources for novice and experienced artists, including several books, DVD's, and other instructional materials. Her instruction drew on a Maryland Institute College of Art MFA, thirty plus years experience as secondary and college level art instructor, gallery and college lecturer, and exhibition juror. Her works and words also appear in art magazines, newspaper articles, blogs, and books by others. Caroline's critically acclaimed paintings have been in solo and group exhibitions at museums and galleries throughout the United States. Her paintings are held in private, celebrity, public, corporate, and museum collections internationally. Her creativity and spunky spirit will be espescially missed by her loving family. We are inspired by the graceful spirit with which she faced death. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tidewell Hospice, 1144 Veronica St, Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
