Ina Grace Ball Hensley, 91 of Church Hill went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at the home of her great granddaughter, Kristel Pratt in Knoxville. Ina accepted the Lord as her Savior at the age of 7 at a church in Greenville. She was a member of Ft. Robinson Baptist Church where she was in the choir and the W.M.U. Ina was a member of the Lynn Garden Opti-Mrs Club, the United Commercial Travelers and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Hensley; daughter, Ina K. Peters; granddaughter, Tammy Bradshaw; great grandson, Evan Stone; parents, Ernest and Virgie Bailey Carmichael. Survivors include her three grandchildren, Angela Carland and fiancé Chris Odom of Kingsport, Richard Bradshaw (U.S. Navy) and Chris Leedy & wife, Teresa of Kingsport; six great grandchildren, Kristel Pratt & husband Kevin of Knoxville (whom she raised as her own daughter), Zachary Carland, Chandler Carland, Katie Turner, Kristen Leedy and Melissa Bradshaw; five great-great grandchildren, Skylar Pratt, Natalie Pratt, Noah Pratt, Jacob Stone and Braden Stone; with several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 pm on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga Street, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 8 pm in the funeral chapel with Brother David Hooker officiating. Music will be provided by pianist, Michelle Cross and singers, Brenda Hooker and Amy Hooker Conner. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 am Friday, January 24, 2014 at the Oak Hill Memorial Park, Kingsport. Pallbearers will be Kevin Pratt, Chris Leedy, Richard Bradshaw, Zachary Carland, Chandler Carland, Skylar Pratt, and Chris Odom. Noah Pratt, and Ronald Allen McMurray will serve as an honorary pallbearer. Those attending are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ft. Robinson Baptist Church, Kingsport, U.T. Hospice of Knoxville or the Lynn Garden Optimist Club. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the U.T. Hospice of Knoxville and Teresa Hill, for their loving care of Mrs. Hensley Carter-Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is serving the family of Ina G. Hensley.
