LAURA ELIZABETH DANIELS, 70, of Gardens of Gulf Cove passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Englewood Community Hospital. She was born on August 6, 1942 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Charles and Helen Chason. A resident of Charlotte County for ten years coming from Newberry, FL; Mrs. Daniels was employed by the US Government for over thirty years, having worked for IRS and the US Postal Service. She retired in 1992. Survivors include her loving husband of twenty years: Chester W. Daniels of Port Charlotte, FL; one son: David Jenkins of Punta Gorda, FL; one daughter: Barbara Phillmon of Jacksonville, FL; eight brother and sisters: including Joyce Graham of Tallahassee, FL; Christine Straughan of West Palm Beach, FL: Chester Chason of Bell, FL and Robert Chason of Live Oak, FL; one grand daughter: Kathryn Jenkins. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. Englewood Community Funeral Home with Private Crematory has been selected to handle arrangements.
