Mr. David Alan Walker passed away peacefully at his home in Florida on February 14, 2021 at the age of 80. David was born to Joseph Alan Walker and Leonora Wanda Walker [Arndt] on December 10, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio. David received a degree in chemistry and biology from Ohio State University. In 1963, David married Bonita Jaana Hemminger. Together they raised 3 children. David is loved and will be missed by his surviving wife, Bonita; daughter Tamara (Randy Schultz); daughter Debra; son Scott (Holly), grandchildren McKayla and Charles; sister Sandy (John) Flood, and brother Bruce (JoAnne). He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandchild, Kyle David Walker. David enjoyed his life and lived it to the fullest by fossil hunting, boating, fishing, hunting, traveling, completing puzzles, and maintaining being a lifelong learner - particular with studying WWII (Guess what? We won the war!!!). David was a member of the Englewood United Methodist Church and was a charter member of Lord of the Lakes church in Winneconne, Wisconsin. At David's request, no services will be held. Thank you to Englewood Community Funeral Home for handling all arrangements and for being a support through the challenge of loss. The family would also like to thank Tidewell Hospice for supporting David and keeping him comfortable and at peace through the last weeks. Tidewell was also a blessing and a great assist to his immediate family as they learned to care for and guide their husband and father on his journey with dignity and respect. The family requests that donations be made to Tidewell Hospice at https://tidewellfoundation.org/donate/.
