Kingsport - Ruth Marie Fletcher, 84 of Kingsport, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Born in Chattanooga, TN, Ruth moved to Kingsport in 1946. She had worked for Halliday Lithographic in Plympton, MA and was a member of Orebank Central Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Fletcher; her parents, Reno and Ruby Harris Stoe; 1 sister and 2 brothers. Ruth is survived by her daughters, Brenda Adams and husband Eddie, Joyce Hall and Martha Belanger and Randy; sons, Wallace Fletcher, Cecil Fletcher, Larry Fletcher and wife Jan and Joe Fletcher and Lisa; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronald Stoe and Jimmy Stoe; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Monday, June 10, 2013 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Lebert Thornburg officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Junior Clark and Roger Poore. Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport is serving the Fletcher family.
