Kate Lynch Engle

Kate Lynch Engle, 87, of Duffield, VA went to rest in the arms of Jesus from the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN on Sunday June 2, 2013. She was a faithful and loving member of Kaylors Chapel Central Baptist Church in Clinchport, VA. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Elijah Lynch; her parents, Wilburn and Fannie Bledsoe Williams; one sister, Elta Marie Jones; three brothers, Howard, Emory and H.B. Williams; half brother, J.W. Williams; one special nephew, Charles Cecil "Pee Wee" Lynch. She is survived by her husband, Caleb Orbin Engle of Duffield, VA; his and her little Pekinese Pugsy and Heidi whom brought such joy to mommy Kate's life; one sister, Betty L. Jones of Duffield, VA; one special sister in law, Wilma Williams of Duffield, VA; several nieces and nephews also survive along with a host of family and friends to mourn her passing including a special and beloved sister in the lord Ruth Clark of Duffield, VA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Monday June 3, 2013 at Scott County Funeral Home, Weber City VA. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday June 4, 2013 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor David Kern officiating. Music will be provided by Kaylors Chapel Central Baptist Church Choir. Burial will follow at Holston View Cemetery in Weber City, VA. Pallbearers will be members of Kaylors Chapel Central Baptist Church. The family would like to extend a sincere thanks to the staff of Ridgecrest manor Lonesome Pine Hospital, Holston Valley Medical Center and Wellmont Hospice for the love, care and comfort also a special thank you to Dr. Chase and Dr. Nathan of H.M.G. in Duffield, VA.
