Art Webb

Art Webb Kingsport - Wilmer Arthal "Art" Webb, 90, of Kingsport departed this life Sunday night May 26, 2013 at his home after an extended illness. He was a native of Scott County, VA (Alley Valley Community) and was a World War II Veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He was retired from Tennessee Eastman Company power and service division with 41 years of service. He was a member of John Sevier V.F.W. post 2108 in Johnson City, TN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Aldeth B. "Jackie" Webb; parents, Floyd Webb and Myrtle Alley Webb; brother and sister in law, Ernest Fay and Wanda Webb. He is survived by his sister, Charlene Webb Presley of Rogersville; niece, Vonda Presley of Rogersville; sisters-in-law, Ruth Barger of Kingsport, Patsy Cumbow and husband, Carl of Kingsport and Gwendolyn Clodfelter and husband, Howard of Kennesaw, GA; Nancy Bacon of Florida and Pat Bacon of Kingsport; along several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. A military graveside service will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday May 29, 2013 at Holston View Cemetery, Weber City, VA with Rev. Wayne Baker officiating. Military rites will be conducted by Boone Dam V.F.W. Post 4933. Family and friends who wish to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:55 pm. In lieu of flowers memorials are asked to be made to a charity of one's choice. Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Webb family.
