Alice J. Hendley, 76, of Rotonda West, Florida passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at her Charlotte County residence. Born on March 18, 1945 in Dublin, Ireland to the late James and Moyra (Fahey) Connell, she had been a resident of Rotonda West for eighteen years coming from Middle Village, Queens, New York. Alice worked in the banking industry for most of her life. She was a member of the Catholic faith. She is pre-deceased by two sisters: Kathleen Oman and Sally Walsh. Survivors include her loving husband of forty-two years: Robert E. Hendley; two brothers: Thomas Connell of Dublin, Ireland; Seamus Connell of Sydney, Australia and sister: Muriad Lynch of Meath, Ireland. Visitation will be on Monday, January 10, 2022 from 2 PM until 4 PM and 6 PM until 8 PM at the Englewood Community Funeral Home, 3070 South McCall Road, Englewood, FL 34224. A Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, January 11 2022 at 11:30 Am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Sarasota National VA Cemetery at 1:30 PM.
