Ken Johnson of Tacoma, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Aug 23rd at the age of 78. He was born 12/21/29 in Puyallup, where he lived most of his life & raised his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, George & Irene (Goelzer) Johnson, his brother Vernon G. Johnson & his first wife & mother of his 4 oldest children, Darlene M. Johnson. Ken is survived by his wife Sandra, daughters Sheryl Johnson (Kevin) & Tammy Johnson, sons Vern (Diana), Jim (Nancy) & Steve (Carol), stepchildren Cheryl (Tim) Hummel , Byron Parkinson, and Jeanette (Rachel) Parkinson, 6 granddaughters, 1 grandson & 2 great grandsons, sisters, Arlene (AJ) Dennis & Kathryn (Norm) Miller. Graveside services to be held at Woodbine Cemetery in Puyallup on Friday Aug 29th at 1:30 PM with a reception following at his home. In lieu of flowers, Please make donations to Group Health Hospice PO Box 34936 Seattle WA 98124. Funeral arrangements by Curnow Funeral Home in Sumner.
