James L. Hall, affectionately known as Herkie, passed away on May 13, 2024 in his hometown of Englewood, Florida. Born to Grace Poe and Frank Hall on August 20, 1932, James lived in Fairmont, West Virginia, Williamsburg, Virginia and retired in Englewood, Florida. James worked for Owens-Brockway as a mold maker for 43 years. James had a great love of tennis and played well into his eighties. He was a jokester and always had a story to tell. James was a Korean War veteran and was proud to serve his country. James loved his family. He was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Garry Hall and Thomas Hall. James is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Pauline, his children Patti Killen (Richard), Michael Hall, and his grandchildren Jennifer Ketcham, Jeffrey Killen and Michele Hall. He also enjoyed six great-grandchildren. James is also survived by his sister, Sue Anglin. The family will hold graveside services in Fairmont, West Virginia. James was a special man and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
