Carlos Portillo

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father, Carlos Portillo, Sr, 78, of San Salvador, El Salvador. He passed away after a valiant battle against pancreatic cancer. Carlos received a teaching degree from the Escuela Normal in El Salvador. However, in his later years he worked in sales and delivery in the automotive industry. Upon his retirement, Carlos spent his time doing what he enjoyed most, spending time with family and rehabbing homes and cars. During his downtime, Carlos could typically be found listening to his favorite music, doing puzzles, reading the news, and watching movies. Carlos is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Concepcion Portillo, his four children, 11 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Carlos also leaves behind friends and neighbors. A Visitation will be held on Friday, June 24th at the Farley Funeral Home and Crematory in North Port, FL from 1:30-3pm. A Prayer Service will be held following the visitation at 3pm. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider making a donation in Carlos's honor to the Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, to help in the fight against cancer.
