Catherine La Bruno nee Nuzzi, 93, of The Villages, FL and formerly of North Port, FL passed away on July 05, 2022. She was born on November 21, 1928 in Newark, NJ. Catherine was a purchasing assistant at Maidenform, Inc. in Bayonne, NJ from 1973 to 1991 when she retired. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Angelo La Bruno; daughters, Susanne (Joseph) Proctor of Ocala, FL, Cathie (William) Livesey of The Villages, FL, Jill (William) Roth of North Port, FL; grandchildren, Denise Ziemak, Peter (Eileen) Ziemak, Jason (Erika) Ziemak, Cheryl (Jon) Ziemak, Joseph (Brandi) Proctor, Jenny (James) Wright, Katie (Adam) Livesey, Will Livesey and Kristen Livesey; and six great-grandchildren. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Marie Ziemak of Pearland, TX; and grandson, Jeffrey Proctor of Ocala, FL. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 10am-11am followed by a service at 11am at Farley Funeral Home in North Port. Burial will follow at Venice Memorial Gardens. Farley Funeral Home in North Port is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital (stjude.org).
