Brother Mark Lenderman Yadkinville, NC- Dr. Mark Alva Lenderman, "Brother Mark", 40, saw the face of his Jesus on Thursday, March 1, 2018. Brother Mark was born October 15, 1977, in Forsyth County to Rev. Richard and Peggy Lenderman. He worked in the ministry for many years, serving at Temple Baptist Church in Kingsport as Youth Pastor, Trinity Baptist Church as Youth Pastor, and was currently serving as the Student Pastor at Peace Haven Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing basketball, but most of all, he loved Jesus. Mark was an encourager to all who met him. He loved people and mentoring to the youth. Mark lived his life through James 4:14…Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. Brother Mark was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rev. James Gordon Riggan. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife, Tracy Hawks Lenderman, whom he never stopped pursuing even after 15 years of marriage; three children that were the light of his life, Titus, Leah, & Julia Lenderman; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ron and Rhonda Hawks; grandparents, Alva & Jean Lenderman and Louise Temple; siblings, Rebekah (Jon) Bowman, Susanna (Mike) McCaskill, and Rev. Paul (Heather) Lenderman; sisters-in-law, Amy (Alan) Askew and Stephanie (Jon) Spargo; and many beloved nieces and nephews, whom were consistently mentored and encouraged by their Uncle Mark. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Brother Mark will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Peace Haven Baptist Church with Dr. Jon Bowman, Rev. Paul Lenderman, Pastor Chad Gamble, Dr. Ralph Sexton, Dr. Steve Roberson, and Brother George Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Peace Haven Baptist Church.
