Vivienne Marie McNamara

Vivienne Marie McNamara Vivienne was born in 1928 in Spokane, Washington. She married Robert McNamara on May 26, 1951 and together they began a life dedicated to their family, creative endeavors and adventures of travel. Vivienne shared her joy of cooking with her family digging through miles of recipes creating the most scrumptious meals. When she wasn’t planning meals or cooking them she spent hours knitting sweaters, afghans, including a couple of dog sweaters. Trips in tents, motorhomes and to the other side of the world provided opportunities for tales that lasted until her final days. ‘Mrs. McNamara’ is still remembered by her students as an outstanding educator ending her career teaching kindergarten at Sunrise Elementary at the age of 62. Vivienne will be greatly missed for her care and love of her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert McNamara, of nearly 67 years and children, Mike McNamara (Karen), Terri Schibel (Kevin) and Lisa McNamara, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren making that six this July and nephews and a niece and a dear cousin she grew up with in Spokane. A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at the Summit Uniserv Office from 1:00-4:00, 201 43rd Ave SE, Puyallup, WA 98374 (behind the Les Schwab building).
