Christopher P Columbus

Christopher P. Columbus passed away on 7 February 2023 at the age of 89. He was born on 9 July 1933 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was a longtime resident of North Port, Florida. He was married to the love of his life, Sally, who he married on 28 October 1982. He has a son, Christopher, from a previous marriage and took the role of father to Veronica and Keith. Christopher was drafted in the Army during the Korean War in 1953 and worked for the Federal Government for over 30 years. He retired in 1989 to spend more time with his wife and enjoy the sunshine and beaches of Florida. He is survived by his wife, Sally, of 40 years, his children, his five grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. The Columbus family will be holding a viewing at Farley Funeral Home in North Port, Florida on 21 February 2023 from 10 to 11 am, and a military service at Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, Florida at 1230 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Venice Cat Coalition.
