Roy Lee Willis

Roy Lee "Dodge" Willis, 79 of Weber City, VA, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Nova Health and Rehab following a brief illness. He retired from Mead Corporation following 30 years of service. He attended Roadside Mission Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Laura Willis; several brothers and sisters. Roy is survived by his wife of 60 years, Janet Taylor Willis; daughter, Susan Carter and husband Scott; son, Steve Willis and wife Barbara; granddaughters, Amanda Castle and husband Ron, Ashley Blevins and husband Matt and Kellie Rose and husband Richie; great-granddaughters, Avery Blevins, Carter and Dylan Rose; sister, Aileen Pence; brothers, George Willis and Charles "Jiggs" Willis and wife Flo; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Scott County Funeral Home in Weber City. A celebration of life service will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Phillip Lane officiating. Music will be provided by Libby Sharp. Burial will follow at Holston View Cemetery in Weber City. Family will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Nova Health and Rehab for their kindness and care shown to Mr. Willis.
