Danny C. Bellamy

Kingsport - Danny Carroll Bellamy, 76 of Kingsport, has taken his place with our Lord on Sunday, October 9, 2016. Born in Scott County Virginia, he lived most of his life in Kingsport. Danny retired from Eastman Chemical Company as an audiovisual technician in 1996, after 27 years and continued as an LSE throughout 2015. A truly giving man, he shared with Theresa, his passion for Christ and provided sound for their music ministry for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernoy Bellamy and Mabel Bellamy Lane and niece, Lisa Moffitt Lawson. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Theresa Shankel Bellamy; sister, Patsy Moffitt Bowman, daughters, Laura Hartness and husband Brian, Marissa Porrello and husband Sean; grandchildren, Lauren and Madeline Hartness, Tyler and Luke Porrello; nephew Chris Moffitt and wife Kathy; in laws, Darnell and Marietta Shankel; sister-in-law, Michelle Shankel; nieces Ashley White and husband Jason, Stephanie Parsons and husband Scott; great nieces Cara Lawson, Kaitlyn Moffitt and Lillyanne White; great nephews Landon Moffitt and Grayson White; many cousins and countless friends that are forever changed for knowing Danny. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Richard Dice and Pastor Scott Young officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, October 14, 2016 at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
